Step into a rewarding role where you’ll provide essential support to educators and students in a dynamic school environment. This contract position is perfect for paraprofessionals passionate about making a difference, especially those experienced in aiding instructional teams. You’ll work closely with both students and professionals, supporting instructional facilitators and assisting alongside VOCO SLPs, PTs, and OTs while classroom instruction is underway.
This opportunity offers a consistent, family-friendly schedule: 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday—leaving your Fridays free.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide in a school setting
- Comfortable assisting students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing classroom needs
- Familiarity assisting virtual-related professionals (SLPs, PTs, OTs) is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining a supportive and respectful environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with 4 instructional facilitators to reinforce lesson plans and classroom routines
- Provide direct assistance to students during instruction and related activities
- Support VOCO SLPs, PTs, and OTs as needed to ensure effective service delivery
- Help maintain student engagement and a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with minor administrative or classroom management tasks as directed
- Communicate progress or concerns to instructional staff in a timely, professional manner
