Part Time Dock Porter

Job Title: Part-Time Dock Porter Location: Lancaster, TX Department: Operations / Maintenance Reports To: Warehouse Manager or Terminal Manager Position Summary A Dock Porter will focus on the upkeep and support of the warehouse. Key Responsibilities Keep the dock area clean and orderly, and assist with facility upkeep Transport supplies, and tools within the warehouse Ensure that spills are cleaned up and the workspace meets health and safety standards Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation Support emergency repairs and be available for on-call situations as needed Assist with facility upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or GED 2+ years of facility maintenance experience in an industrial or warehouse setting Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently Comfortable working in cold storage environments (refrigerated and freezer conditions) Attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Good communication and teamwork skills Time management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Working Conditions Frequent exposure to cold and freezer environments (as low as -10°F) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, standing) May require working nights, weekends, or overtime during peak periods Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
