Assistant Childcare Teacher

About This Role Chroma Early Learning Academy of Marietta seeks enthusiastic teachers who love singing, dancing, storytelling, and nurturing young, energetic children. This full‑time position (Monday through Friday) offers a fun working environment and hourly pay that varies with experience and degree level. Required work location: In person. Candidates will collaborate with co‑teachers to complete daily classroom activities, including implementing the curriculum, changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, and sanitizing. What You’ll Do Supervise and manage daily class functions for a group of children. Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Observe all rules and regulations at Chroma Early Learning Academy and local, state, and national agencies. Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance. Assess each child’s developmental needs on an ongoing basis. Implement approved lesson plans and the daily classroom schedule per the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming. Maintain an attractive, well‑kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and confident decision‑making. Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while setting clear and consistent behavioral expectations. Assume responsibility for maintenance and housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds. Attend all staff meetings, workshops, and school functions. Maintain overall professional appearance according to the Academy Employee Handbook. Apply knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children. Requirements Must be 18 years or older. Must clear a full background check. High energy and strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well with others and be coachable. Strong understanding of child development. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills. Competent, confident, and detail‑oriented. Good listening, follow‑up skills, and a high sense of integrity. Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
