Social Media Coordinator

Role: Responsibilities include creating, implementing, and maintaining marketing strategies to effectively promote the credit union through storytelling and influence. Must manage social media presence, work across departments to ensure accurate messaging, support and protect the brand by providing first-class service. Mange online discussions and track topics to prepare reports for internal use. Engage with members though promotions, blogs, daily post, event planning, and any other communication channels. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience including social media experience, excellent customer service, strategic planning, event planning, research and reporting, and familiarity with Adobe programs, Apple products, and Microsoft Office. Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree a plus but not required. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Other Skills: Two or more years of experience in marketing and graphic design is a plus; proficient writing is required. Able to integrate the branding concept into daily work; must be self-motivated and have good organization, communication and people skills. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching including reaching above the shoulders, talking and hearing, visual acuity, occasional stooping, crouching, or kneeling, and occasional lifting a maximum of 25 pounds.
