Reactor Technician (Paint)- Day Shift- Contract to Hire Day Shift: 4:30AM- 4:30PM (Monday- Friday) Join Our Team Gibraltar is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Reactor Technician (Paint) to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining Graco paint mixing and dispensing equipment while ensuring paint materials are prepared accurately and production runs efficiently. What You'll Do Operate and monitor Graco paint proportioning, mixing, and dispensing systems. Set up paint recipes and verify material ratios according to production specifications. Perform color changes, line purges, and equipment cleanouts. Monitor paint viscosity, pressure settings, flow rates, and material consumption. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues to minimize production downtime. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps, hoses, regulators, and related equipment. Maintain accurate records of paint usage, inventory levels, and production data. Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to support manufacturing schedules. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality concerns. Follow all safety procedures for handling paints, solvents, and hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with paint and consumable inventory management. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Basic computer skills for production tracking and data entry. Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, industrial painting, coating, finishing, or paint line operations. Experience operating Graco paint systems, proportioners, or fluid handling equipment. Knowledge of paint chemistry, mixing ratios, and viscosity testing. Forklift experience or certification. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during 10–12 hour shifts. Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb as needed. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to paint fumes, solvents, heat, noise, and moving machinery.
