Portage Point’s entrepreneurial model empowers TAS team members to lead early and often, delivering value across the deal continuum with speed and precision.The Vice President (VP), TAS role at Portage Point represents a unique opportunity to serve private equity, direct lenders and corporate clients to increase value through thoughtful transaction diligence and structuring. This VP will manage and support project execution for clients across buy-side and sell-side transactions including financial and business due diligence, accounting and financial reporting and tax. The VP, TAS will report directly into the TAS Practice Line Leader and work within a collaborative team environment to assess target strengths and weaknesses, identify key risks and potential deal breakers and ultimately evaluate the potential transactions alignment clients’ investment strategy. If you thrive in a high-performance culture and want to help build the future of a rapidly growing consultancy, this is the right role for you.ResponsibilitiesWork directly with senior personnel at Portage Point and our clients to develop comprehensive solutions to complex transactional challenges Facilitate client discussions and meetings and developing relationships through best-in-class executionFormulate, oversee and review workstreamsExecute buy and sell side diligence including but not limited to historical and project financial and operating trends analysis, quality of earnings analysis, working capital and net debt consideration analysis, cash flow analysis, potential liabilities and risk analysisDraft clear and compelling reports outlining key takeaways including but not limited to normalized earnings, budget achievability, indebtedness and post-transaction considerationsCreate and manipulate financial modelsReview transaction agreements, customer and vendor contractsCollaborate closely with performance improvement, restructuring and investment banking colleaguesProvide coaching and mentorship to junior team membersSupport internal trainings and best practice sharingSupport business development and client relationship effortsSupport talent acquisition and firm-building initiativesContribute to a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven cultureQualificationsBachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate programLocated or willing to relocate to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York or PhiladelphiaInvested in a team-based culture, motivated to collaborate in office four days per week and willing to work at client sites as neededCertified Public Accountant requiredSix plus years of financial due diligence experience or a combination of audit and financial due diligence experience within a Big 4 accounting firmDeep understanding of US GAAP principlesFamiliarity with Tableau and Alteryx preferredProficiency in financial modeling including ability to prepare three statement models, dynamic KPI packages and complex ad hoc analysisSuperior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skillsProven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teamsHigh attention to detail, responsiveness and ownership mindsetTrack record of success in high-pressure, client-facing environments$250,000 - $350,000 a yearIn accordance with pay transparency laws in the City of New York and the State of California, Portage Point provides a good-faith cash compensation range for this position. This range represents the cash compensation (base plus bonus) that the firm reasonably expects to pay upon hire, based on good-faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting. The final compensation within this range will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, education, training, experience and location.
