Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with robotic surgery experience for a hospital OR position requiring 1 year of community hospital scrubbing and circulating experience.

Details

• Hospital-based general OR setting within a community hospital
• Preferred patient population includes infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
• Covers a wide range of specialties including Orthopedics, ENT, General, OB/GYN, Urology, and Podiatry
• Utilizes the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and performs TORS (TransOral Robotic Surgery)
• Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Requires participation in an on-call rotation of 1 in 4 or 5, with call hours from 7 PM to 7 AM and weekend call from Saturday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM
• 20-minute call back requirement, with a call house available for those living outside the required radius
• Weekend commitment of 1 out of every 5 weekends plus one weeknight per week
• Candidates will be required to float
• EPIC charting experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Scrubbing and circulating experience required
• Robotic surgery experience required, including Da Vinci Xi and TORS platforms
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• NY state license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform a broad range of surgical procedures spanning orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, gynecology, and podiatry
• Assist with robotic-assisted procedures using the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and TORS techniques
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper instrument processing and sterilization practices
• Scrubs are provided by the facility in grey
• Orientation consists of 24 hours
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must not reside within 75 miles of the facility
• Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Previous employees may be considered for return after a 6-month system-wide waiting period
