Job Description & Requirements The role involves providing Med Surg patient care on a travel assignment. Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities As a MedSurg RN, you will conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs. You will perform ongoing assessments, administer treatments as ordered by a physician, document findings, and provide patient and family education. Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs. Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment. Educate patients on surgical procedures. Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed. Qualifications 1–2 years recent acute care experience. BLS certification, 1.5 years RN experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment.
