A-Line Staffing is now hiring Healthcare Appeals and Grievances Coordinators in Sacramento/Natomas or Woodland Hills, CA. The  Healthcare Appeals and Grievances Coordinator would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be  full time / 40+ hours per week. This position is mostly remote with some occasional on-site travel needed.

Healthcare Appeals and Grievances Coordinator Compensation

• The pay for this position is $23.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Healthcare Appeals and Grievances Coordinator Highlights

• The required availability for this position is  Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST
• 8-week mandatory training is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST
• Position is primarily  remote , but candidates must live within commuting distance of the  Natomas/Sacramento or Woodland Hills company hub
• Overtime may be required based on business needs
• Occasional Saturdays and holidays may be required with advance notice

Healthcare Appeals and Grievances Coordinator Responsibilities

• Process and resolve member appeals and grievances accurately and within required timeframes
• Research member cases and gather information needed for resolution
• Maintain accurate and detailed case documentation
• Handle complex and compliance-related cases
• Communicate professionally and empathetically with members and internal teams
• Research and resolve issues while maintaining quality and accuracy standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support process improvement initiatives
• Manage multiple cases and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Healthcare Appeals and Grievances Coordinator Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in healthcare, insurance, appeals and grievances, or customer service within a regulated environment
• Previous appeals and grievances experience
• Strong research, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience handling complex cases or compliance-related tasks
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Healthcare Appeals and Grievances Coordinator Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree
• Experience with healthcare regulations or health plan compliance
• Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid guidelines
• Experience handling sensitive cases and resolving conflicts professionally
• Strong letter writing and written communication skills
• Project coordination experience in a fast-paced environment
