Registered Nurse Navigator – Cardiothoracic Surgery The Registered Nurse Navigator for Cardiothoracic Surgery serves as the sole point of contact and personal guide for patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The role coordinates care, educates patients and families, facilitates communication among the healthcare team, and provides ongoing support throughout the patient’s journey— from pre‑operative preparation to post‑operative recovery. By ensuring seamless care transitions, the Navigator enhances patient outcomes and overall experience. The office is located on the north side in Indianapolis, Indiana. Exceptional Skills and Qualifications Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). Two years or more of nursing experience required. Cardiology or surgery experience preferred. Experience in care coordination or patient navigation preferred. Excellent communication skills.
