Work Environment\nOur remote outpatient office provides a flexible work environment that encourages professionalism, personal growth, and wellness. While the position primarily allows for telehealth sessions, you will also engage with colleagues for team meetings and collaborative case discussions. Our work hours are typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs and schedules.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine patients' needs, strengths, and areas requiring intervention. \n
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. \n
- Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups aimed at common mental health challenges, cultivating peer connections among participants. \n
- Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and psychologists to ensure seamless and coordinated care for all patients. \n
- Provide immediate crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies and offer appropriate referrals to specialized services when needed. \n
- Guide patients and families in understanding mental health conditions, navigating treatment options, and utilizing available community resources. \n
- Maintain meticulous documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. \n
- Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings to contribute to a continuous learning environment. \n
- Stay informed about the latest trends and research in mental health therapy to continuously enhance service delivery. \n
You will engage with a diverse array of clients from various backgrounds, ages, and experiences. This includes children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, all seeking assistance for a multitude of mental health concerns. Your role will be instrumental in helping individuals navigate their personal challenges and advocating for their mental health needs.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university. \n
- Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State. \n
- Strong understanding of various mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and therapeutic frameworks. \n
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and craft effective, individualized treatment plans. \n
- Proficient in delivering both individual and group therapy, exhibiting cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations. \n
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to upholding professional boundaries and ethical standards. \n
- Comfort and proficiency working with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications. \n

- At least two years of experience in a mental health counseling environment, with a track record of effectively supporting clients with varying mental health challenges. \n
- Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops is highly desirable. \n
- A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, including attending workshops and training sessions. \n
