Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Stone Mountain, GA 30083 Schedule: School-based opportunity Employment Type: Contract Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a school-based setting in Stone Mountain, Georgia . This opportunity is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about helping students improve their communication skills, collaborating with educational teams, and providing individualized services that support academic and personal success. The Speech‑Language Pathologist will assess, treat, and manage a caseload of students with speech and language disorders while developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and providing evidence-based therapy services to enhance educational outcomes. Key Responsibilities Evaluate students’ speech and language abilities through assessments, observations, and data collection. Develop and implement IEPs with individualized speech and language goals. Provide direct speech and language therapy services tailored to student needs. Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed. Participate in Multi‑Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) initiatives. Analyze student performance data and recommend strategies to support student growth. Attend IEP meetings, conferences, and collaborative planning sessions with teachers, families, and school staff. Maintain accurate therapy documentation, progress notes, evaluations, and reports. Communicate effectively with students, parents, educators, administrators, and related service providers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic, social, and communication development. Provide expertise and guidance related to speech‑language services when needed. Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and delivery of speech‑language services within the educational environment. Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an ASHA‑accredited college or university preferred. Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Speech‑Language Pathology certificate at level S‑5 or above OR valid Speech‑Language Pathologist license required. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred. School‑based or pediatric experience preferred. Strong knowledge of speech‑language assessment, treatment planning, and evidence‑based intervention strategies. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently while effectively supporting a multidisciplinary team. Work Environment School‑based setting serving students with diverse speech and language needs.
