Job Description Contract Occupational Therapist (OT) – Independent Contractor\n Ideal Therapies, LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing interdisciplinary team as an Independent Contractor (1099). \n Ideal Therapies provides individualized, person-centered therapeutic services in home and community-based settings. Our current client population primarily consists of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), with plans to expand services to include veterans and additional populations as our organization continues to grow. Position Responsibilities\n \n Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify clients’ functional needs, strengths, and goals. \n Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. \n Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions addressing activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, functional cognition, adaptive skills, and independence. \n Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and compensatory strategies when appropriate. \n Help clients increase independence and participation in home, community, leisure, vocational, and daily living activities. \n Monitor client progress and modify interventions as clinically appropriate. \n Complete evaluations, progress notes, reports, and other required documentation accurately and within established deadlines. \n Educate clients, families, and caregivers regarding therapeutic strategies and recommendations. \n Collaborate with families, caregivers, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. \n Maintain compliance with professional standards, applicable program requirements, and Ideal Therapies policies. \n Qualifications\n \n Current and unrestricted Texas Occupational Therapist license required. \n Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. \n Experience working with individuals with IDD, developmental disabilities, neurological conditions, or other complex needs preferred. \n Experience providing home or community-based services preferred. \n Experience working with veterans or military-connected populations is a plus as Ideal Therapies expands its services. \n Current professional liability insurance or ability to obtain prior to providing services. \n Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to providing services. \n Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned clients. \n Ability to successfully complete required background checks and credentialing. \n Strong communication, documentation, organization, and time-management skills. \n Contract Opportunity\n This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering flexibility in scheduling and caseload. Occupational Therapists may accept clients based on their availability, preferred geographic service area, and desired caseload. \n Ideal Therapies is continuing to expand its provider network and service populations.
