Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver preventive dental-hygiene services to patients across different age groups
• Perform prophylaxis and periodontal-maintenance procedures
• Conduct periodontal assessments and document clinical findings
• Provide scaling and root planning when clinically indicated
• Take diagnostic dental radiographs
• Apply fluoride, sealants, and approved preventive agents
• Review medical histories and identify potential treatment considerations
• Educating patients and families about oral hygiene and disease prevention
• Communicate clinical concerns and treatment recommendations to the supervising dentist
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Follow applicable sterilization, infection-control, and patient-safety protocols
• Help create a respectful and culturally responsive patient experience

Candidate Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited dental-hygiene program
• Current Texas Registered Dental Hygienist license or eligibility for licensure
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Appropriate Texas dental-radiography credentials
• Working knowledge of preventive dentistry and periodontal care
• Strong interpersonal and patient-education abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative dental team
• Spanish-language ability may be helpful, but is not required unless confirmed by the employer
• Qualified recent graduates and experienced hygienists are welcome
