Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical and Pediatrics unit, managing adult patients with conditions including respiratory illness, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6–7 on night shifts, delivering safe and timely nursing care
• Float to all inpatient units as needed based on census and staffing demands
• Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to all facility infection control and health compliance policies, including masking requirements during flu season when applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with flexibility for shift length adjustments based on unit census needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt positively to frequent changes during a shift
• Strong collaborative communication skills with team members and ancillary staff
