Patent Litigation Associate

A patent litigation boutique in Redwood Shores, CA is seeking a talented lateral associate in the 2nd-3rd year range to join its patent litigation team. Responsibilities Handle all phases of patent litigation matters, including discovery, expert discovery, depositions, and trial preparation Draft and review litigation filings, briefs, and discovery materials Work directly with senior attorneys and clients on complex patent disputes Contribute to case strategy and execution across a sophisticated patent litigation caseload Qualifications 2-3 years of litigation experience, with demonstrated interest in patent litigation No litmus test on background, but strong candidates typically show excellence in at least one of: T14 academic credentials, a federal clerkship, or demonstrated success (trial, depositions, expert discovery) in a top patent litigation group Patent prosecution or purely technical/advisory backgrounds are not a fit — this is a litigation-only practice with no prosecution group Strong writing, analytical, and academic credentials What We Offer The annual salary for this position is between $200,000 and $250,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
