Units Where New Graduate RNs Can Begin Their Journey Ortho/Trauma Brain & Spine (Neuro) Surgical Renal – 3 East Behavioral Health Unit Adult B Behavioral Health Unit Adult C Behavioral Health Unit Acute Adult Behavioral Health Units Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit Child Responsibilities Deliver nursing care by developing and implementing a nursing diagnosis, care objectives, and interventions. Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Review physician prescriptions and communicate the nursing care plan to the health‑care team. Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and communicate pertinent patient information. Obtain medical histories, examine patients, and document physical condition and psychological status. Develop nursing care plans, including goals, objectives, and timetables. Educate patients, families, and friends on condition, medications, and self‑care skills. Evaluate patient care outcomes, review records, and modify the nursing care plan as needed. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy care environment by following infection‑control policies, medication administration procedures, and controlled‑substance regulations. Document patient care services in patient and department records. Operate and troubleshoot patient‑care equipment, maintaining supplies and performing preventive maintenance. Ensure supplies are adequately stocked by checking inventory, placing orders, and verifying receipts. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the required hours. Must be able to perform each essential job function, including visual acuity and effective communication. Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of practice.
