Leasing Agent

Maxus Properties is hiring a Leasing Agent for Peppertree Apartments and Pinnacle Woods Apartments, both located in Lawrence, Kansas. The team member will work 3-4 days at Peppertree and 1-2 days a week at Pinnacle Woods. 5 days a week totalThe Leasing Agent is responsible for supporting the leasing and marketing efforts of the community while delivering an exceptional experience to prospects and residents. This role focuses on generating traffic, conducting property tours, converting leads into leases, and assisting with resident retention. The Leasing Agent serves as a key point of contact for prospective and current residents and plays an important role in maintaining occupancy goals, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and supporting daily property operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Sales PerformanceConduct property tours and effectively present apartment homes, amenities, and community features to prospective residentsFollow up with prospects through phone, email, and other communication channels to convert leads into leasesMaintain knowledge of floor plans, pricing, availability, and community policiesAssist with lease preparation, renewals, and move-in coordinationAchieve leasing goals and support overall occupancy and revenue objectivesCustomer Experience & Resident RelationsProvide exceptional customer service to prospects, residents, and guestsRespond promptly and professionally to inquiries, concerns, and service requestsSupport resident retention by fostering positive relationships and assisting with renewal effortsAssist with resident events and community engagement initiativesMarketing & Lead ManagementRespond to online, phone, and walk-in inquiries in a timely and professional mannerMaintain accurate guest card documentation and lead tracking within the property management systemSupport community marketing initiatives including outreach, social media, and local partnershipsEnsure model units, leasing offices, and tour routes are maintained to company presentation standardsOperational SupportAssist with daily leasing office operations including answering phones, managing appointments, and administrative tasksMaintain accurate resident and prospect records within property management systemsSupport move-in and move-out processes, including documentation and file complianceCollaborate with the Property Manager and team to ensure smooth property operationsCompliance & DocumentationEnsure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies in all leasing activitiesMaintain accurate and complete lease documentation and resident filesFollow established procedures for application processing, screening, and approvalsUphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling resident informationQualificationsRequired:1+ year of customer service, sales, or leasing experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to build rapport with prospects and residentsBasic computer proficiency and ability to learn property management softwareStrong organizational skills and attention to detailPreferred:Previous multifamily leasing experienceFamiliarity with property management software (OneSite, Yardi, or similar)Experience in sales, hospitality, or customer-focused rolesKnowledge of Fair Housing guidelines #J-18808-Ljbffr
