As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer on the Workflows team, you'll help rebuild a high-scale platform, focusing on backend services while contributing across the stack to deliver reliable automation. You'll partner closely with product, design, and platform teams, with real ownership of your work and mentorship to grow your career.What You'll DoDesign, build, and maintain full stack workflow applications using Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js (NestJS) on the backend and Angular or React on the front endDevelop workflow orchestration systems with Temporal, Google Cloud Workflows, or similar platformsBuild and optimize event-driven architectures using Kafka or other streaming technologiesCreate APIs and integrations that connect front-end applications, backend services, and workflow enginesDesign for reliable job execution, retries, state management, and long-running processes, with observability built in through logging, tracing, and metricsOptimize performance, throughput, and latency across distributed systems, and troubleshoot production issues with lasting reliability improvementsLead medium- to large-scale features and technical initiatives, partnering with product managers, designers, and platform teamsMentor engineers, participate in design and code reviews, and promote best practices for workflow design, API development, accessibility, idempotency, and error handlingWhat You BringMust-HaveBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, plus 7+ years of software engineering experience building production applicationsStrong backend experience with Java (Spring Boot), Node.js (NestJS), or comparable frameworksExperience building web applications with Angular or React, with the ability to contribute to front-end work and debug front-end issues in productionExperience designing REST APIs and building event-driven systems using Kafka or other streaming technologiesStrong understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, databases, and reliability practices for asynchronous, long-running processes (retries, state management, idempotency, error handling), plus strong problem-solving, code review, and communication skillsPreferredExperience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Google Cloud Workflows, or similar toolsExperience with Google Cloud Dataflow, cloud-native technologies, and distributed data processingExperience building monitoring, administration, or troubleshooting interfaces for complex systems#LI-LM1#LI-HybridActual compensation offered will be based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, qualifications, skills, experience and/or training.
