Your future role at a glance Location: Kokomo, IN Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo Department/Speciality: Ascension St. Vincent Police Department Schedule: Nights | Full-time | 6:00pm - 6:30am How you'll make an impact in this role Foster a safe and welcoming healing environment by proactively monitoring hospital grounds and identifying potential security risks before they escalate. Lead the immediate response and investigation of security incidents, ensuring every event is documented with a focus on patient and staff safety. Empower the clinical team through hands‑on training and mentorship regarding emergency preparedness and disaster response protocols. Coordinate essential campus safety operations, including traffic management and facility inspections, to ensure seamless access for emergency services and visitors. Champion the hospital’s emergency readiness by facilitating drills and simulations that prepare our staff to act decisively during critical events. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Drivers License credentialed from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Security Guard preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
