Certified Medical Assistant – OrthopedicsAddison Group is hiring for our client, an established orthopedic and spine practice serving both pediatric and adult patients throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The practice is seeking Certified Medical Assistants to support its clinical teams and provide a high level of patient care.Two opportunities are available: one supporting a pediatric orthopedic team and one supporting an adult orthopedic team. Both positions involve a combination of clinical Medical Assistant responsibilities and patient-facing administrative support.Job DescriptionThe Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and front-office team members to support patients throughout their visit. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, collecting payments, and assisting with overall clinic workflow.Candidates should be comfortable traveling between assigned DFW clinic locations. Schedules and locations will be communicated in advance.Key ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and prepare them for provider visitsObtain and document patient histories and vital signsAssist physicians and nursing staff with daily clinical workflowSchedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointmentsPerform patient check-in and check-outVerify patient demographics and insurance informationCollect and process copays, coinsurance, and outstanding patient balancesEnter charges and payments accuratelyMaintain complete and accurate patient documentationCommunicate professionally with patients, families, providers, and staffProvide administrative and clinical support as neededTravel between assigned clinic locations based on the provider scheduleQualificationsCurrent Medical Assistant certification requiredPrevious Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient or physician-practice settingComfortable performing both clinical and front-office responsibilitiesExperience obtaining patient histories and vital signsStrong patient communication and customer service skillsAbility and willingness to travel between assigned DFW clinic locationsDependable transportation requiredPediatric Team2+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferredPrevious pediatric experience is highly preferredMust be comfortable traveling between clinics in Plano, Flower Mound, Frisco, and DallasAdult Team1+ year of Medical Assistant experiencePrevious orthopedic or spine experience is highly preferredPrimarily based in Dallas, with travel to Plano and Frisco as neededAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
