Application Support Engineer

Salary: $190,000 - 190,000 per year Requirements:

• We require an active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• We are looking for proven professional experience in customer-facing software development.
• We expect familiarity with version control tools such as Git, bug tracking systems, pull request review processes, automated testing, and Agile practices.
• We need excellent problem-solving ability, strong attention to detail, and clear communication skills for discussions with our team and the customer.
• Preferred experience includes AWS services such as EC2 and S3, along with Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
• Preferred backend experience includes Java, modern JDK versions, and enterprise concepts such as REST/JSON APIs and service-oriented architecture.
• Preferred data and messaging experience includes SQL and database administration with platforms such as PostgreSQL or Oracle, plus familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
• Preferred testing and security experience includes software testing frameworks, secure web application practices, PKI certificates, and TLS/SSL configuration across multiple components and systems.

• We maintain, monitor, and upgrade our proprietary media processing system running on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes.
• We serve as the primary on-site technical contact and act as the liaison between the customer and our development team.
• We manage isolated test environments and support system administration activities at the customer site.
• We deploy system upgrades two to three times per year using Ansible.
• We write custom monitoring scripts in Python and Bash.
• We troubleshoot deployment automation, containerized environments, and local hardware drivers in a secure setting.
• We support the customer with additional administrative tasks as needed.
