Cafe cook

This is a fusion of prep cooking and live service cooking. This position is closer to catering than “ala minute” cooking. We are looking for a cook to pre-prepare meals for our cafe. This isn’t a “live”/short order cooking position. All meals are made before service and put in a hot hold situation (much like catering). Applicants must have some cooking experience as our season is short and you must be able and confident enough to jump into a position with minor input (although new cooks are encouraged to apply). This is a good opportunity for someone with menu ideas to apply and test the success of their ideas; we are open to menu changes and adjustments. Early morning working is a must. If you want to come crush it in the A.M. and have your afternoons and evenings free to enjoy our beautiful island in Lake Superior, this job is for you.
