Maintenance Mechanic

Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate and repair equipment including electrical systems, hydraulics, welding and burning equipment, plumbing, compressors, cranes, diesel repair, forklifts, trucks, and trailers. Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe and working conditions through preventative and corrective maintenance both in the shop and yard. Troubleshoot and repair three-phase motors and perform preventative maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Conduct electrical installations with voltages up to 480V and diagnose electrical and wiring faults. Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and adherence to OSHA safety standards are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is repaired to safe and working conditions through preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair three-phase motors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct electrical installations with voltages up to 480V.
• Diagnose electrical and wiring faults.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Adhere to all OSHA safety procedures.

• Experience with heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and welding machinery
• Welding experience is a plus
• Diesel experience is a plus

Work Environment

Work in an industrial fabrication shop characterized by hot, dirty, and dusty conditions. The facility features open-air structures with 2-5 open fans to provide ventilation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gibsonton, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
