As a Security Officer Access Control in Lansing, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will perform routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, observing conditions, reporting unusual activity, and supporting security-related operations throughout varying work environments.
• Assist with visitor management, badge issuance, and/or screening procedures while maintaining professional communication and following post orders for sensitive healthcare areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
