Position Summary The Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting hospital‑wide training programs for both clinical and non‑clinical staff. The primary responsibility will be coordinating the training for all staff for the EHR transition to EPIC. This role plays a key part in fostering a culture of continuous learning and regulatory compliance throughout the organization. The Coordinator ensures that education programs align with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals, supporting all departments, including nursing, support services, administration, facilities, IT, and more. Responsibilities Hospital‑Wide Training Coordination Work with leaders of PLHS/Sanford to coordinate all necessary training for EPIC, including training room setup, class scheduling, curriculum assignment, and tracking registration and completion. Coordinate and track mandatory, departmental, and professional development training for all hospital staff. Develop onboarding schedules and orientation programs tailored to specific departments and job roles. Support cross‑functional training needs such as HIPAA, infection control, customer service, etc. Develop and maintain organization‑wide communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources. Oversight of training staff, i.e., Subject Matter Experts and Super Users. Compliance and Accreditation Ensure training programs meet regulatory standards (CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.). Maintain training records for audits. Coordinate compliance tracking for certifications. Training Logistics & Delivery Manage Learning Management System and training logistics. Support live sessions and shift‑based training, online training resources, and Teams‑based training. Network with Subject Matter Experts and Super Users within the organization to conduct training. Learning Support & Evaluation Collaborate with departments to identify needs and create materials. Engage in periodic assessments to identify training needs. Analyze feedback to improve training and modify as needed. Employee Development & Engagement Promote career development opportunities. Support soft skills and leadership training. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education And/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, education, or a relevant field. 2–4 years of experience in training in a healthcare setting. Experience supporting both clinical and non‑clinical training. Required Skills And Abilities Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to design and implement effective training and development. Strong presentation skills. Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods. Proficient with Learning Management System platforms and Microsoft Office. Collaborative and adaptable. Preferred Qualifications Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential. Experience using the Epic electronic health record system. CPR/BLS instructor certification.
