Payroll Specialist  

Revel Group is seeking a  Payroll Specialist  to join our team in Knoxville, TN! This position will oversee payroll processing and payroll compliance for Anakeesta, WildSide, Bryce Development, and Revel Group.  

Your Responsibilities  

  • Process weekly payroll for Anakeesta employees and bi-weekly payroll for WildSide, Bryce Development, and Revel Group employees  
  • Process off-cycle payroll payments as needed  
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure proper documentation of all pay changes, deductions, taxes, and garnishments  
  • Manage and maintain the Harvest timekeeping system, including employee time tracking, auditing, and reporting  
  • Demonstrate strong HRIS and payroll system expertise, including creating and maintaining custom payroll reports, dashboards, audits, and reconciliations  
  • Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws  
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, paychecks, deductions, direct deposits, and timekeeping  
  • Prepare payroll reports, audits, reconciliations, and custom reporting for internal and external stakeholders  
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and third-party providers to ensure payroll data integrity  
  • Assist with payroll-related accounting and accounts payable functions as needed  
  • Responsible for responding to and managing unemployment claims on behalf of the organization  
  • Administer garnishments, child support orders, wage attachments, and other involuntary deductions  
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information  
  • Support year-end payroll processing, including W-2 preparation and payroll tax reconciliation  
  • Other duties as assigned  

What You Need  

  • Payroll processing experience preferred  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred  
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required  
  • Working knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel  
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and timekeeping platforms preferred  
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information professionally
