Systems Engineer Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $ 75,000.00 to $ 95,000.00 / annually
• First Shift
• Maintain an active support-ticket workload and resolve escalated tickets beyond Level 1 / Level 2 capability
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex or recurring issues
• Document escalation context, technical findings, and resolution details
• Escalate architecture, standards, or technical risk concerns through established channels
• Ensure technical work aligns with approved tools, standards, and configurations
• Ensure assigned tickets meet established documentation and quality standards before closure
• Design, implement, configure, and support technical solutions within approved company standards
• Perform regular engineering and project work as a normal and expected part of the role
• Lead technical onboarding and deployment work for new clients, including site surveys, network configuration, server deployment, and workstation setup
• Escalate proposed deviations from approved standards to the Director of Technology before proceeding
• Serve as an escalation resource for tickets and issues beyond Tech 1 / Tech 2 capability
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior technicians through documented guidance
• Maintain complete, accurate, and defensible ticket and project documentation

Systems Engineer Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience in technical support, systems administration, or systems engineering, including demonstrated experience resolving issues beyond Level 1 / Level 2 support
• Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across networking, Microsoft 365, servers, and cloud systems
• Experience designing, implementing, and configuring technical solutions within defined standards
• Experience using a ticketing system, RMM tool, and PSA software Preferred Qualifications
• Professional IT certifications such as Microsoft certifications, CompTIA Security+/Network+, ITIL, or equivalent
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell preferred)
• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider or IT support business
• Prior experience as a senior onsite technical resource in a branch or client environment
