Duties & Responsibilities

Provide on-call coverage for general surgery, responding to emergency department and inpatient consults
Perform emergency surgical procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and trauma surgery
Round on assigned patients as needed
Document patient encounters in Cerner EMR
Maintain communication with nursing staff and referring physicians
