Director OF Critical Care

The client is seeking a Director of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit to oversee the delivery of patient care and to facilitate all activities within the newborn intensive service line. This leader will direct daily clinical operations across a 150-bed NICU, promoting high-quality, efficient, and safe care while supporting patient satisfaction and a strong culture of teamwork among nursing, medical, and support personnel. The role includes developing and implementing care practices that support patient safety and quality, with an emphasis on operational excellence and continuous improvement. The Director will be expected to lead clinical activity in alignment with organizational standards, drive effective collaboration across diverse stakeholders, and ensure strong coordination of care. Qualifications include a minimum of five years of experience with at least two years of leadership experience in a NICU, including supervisory experience and a track record of progressive responsibility. A master’s degree in Nursing is required, along with demonstrated operational savvy, problem-solving ability, strong analytical acumen, and an engaged leadership style with high emotional intelligence. The Director must be comfortable working in a complex matrix environment and be able to partner with executive and physician leadership on strategic and tactical planning and change implementation.
