Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers considered upon review
• Patient population includes mostly geriatrics and adults, with some pediatric patients in the emergency department
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CRT or RRT
• Skills required include vent management, CPAP, BiPap, nebulizer treatments, A-line placement, intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and arterial blood gas analysis
• Work with AVEA vents, Servo U vents, LPU 1200 vents, parapack vents for MRI, and Hamilton vents for transport
• Float within hospital to all units as needed
• Minimum one shift orientation to learn workflow
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• On-call requirements vary
• Time off requests up to 7 days can be approved
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated
• Fatigue policy limits work to maximum 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
• Charting system: EPIC
• Equipment includes Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Scrub color: Any color except camouflage or denim
• Free parking provided

This major medical center is a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU with Magnet designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center status. The facility operates 933 beds and provides advanced respiratory therapy services across all units. The hospital maintains high standards of care with state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive support systems for respiratory therapy services.
