Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is focused on providing high-quality care in various surgical specialties, including general, plastic, gynecological, ENT, trauma, neuro, orthopedic, GU, and colorectal robotics.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
• Assist in maintaining a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
• Float between different surgical specialties as needed to meet facility demands.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana, compact, or temporary license at the time of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operating room setting, with at least 1 year in a Level 1 Trauma center preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in circulating is required; scrub experience is preferred.
• Ability to work flexibly within the scope of the role and adapt to varying needs of the facility.

Work Schedule

This position requires a full-time commitment with day shifts consisting of 3 twelve-hour workdays. Availability to work during major holidays is expected, with a requirement to work at least two out of three.

Unit Information

The operating room consists of 21 surgical rooms, accommodating an average daily census of 70-80 patients. The team is involved in a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties, ensuring a diverse and engaging work experience.

• Scrub color is provided to all staff.
• Charting will be conducted using Cerner software.
