Hospice Registered Nurse

Buena Vista Home Health, Palliative Care & Hospice (BV) provides in‑home hospice and palliative care services in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties, CA. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Per Diem RN to support our patients and families. Job Description Perform comprehensive nursing evaluations. Assess signs and symptoms of discomfort, including pain, and take prompt action. Initiate and manage plans of care, provide appropriate nursing follow‑up to all patients. Instruct caregivers in managing patient needs. Coordinate all services provided to patients and families, ensuring quality and appropriateness of care. Supervise Home Health Aides, Vocational Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Homemakers. Job Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Credentials: Current RN license in California; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing desired. Certifications: Current CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance. Experience: Minimum one year of professional nursing experience within the last three years. Skills: Competent in all nursing functions; strong written and oral communication; sympathetic attitude; customer‑service orientation; ability to work with dying patients; organizational and diplomatic abilities. Pay Range $50–$60 per hour.
