Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Previous experience teaching or supporting visually impaired students in a school setting
• Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technology, and accessible instructional strategies
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
• Dedication to fostering independence and academic growth among students with varying abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and adapt educational materials for students with visual impairments
• Assess student needs and collaborate with IEP teams to design effective educational plans
• Provide direct and consultative services across multiple grade levels
• Utilize and recommend appropriate assistive technology to support student learning
• Serve as a resource and advocate for students, families, and school staff
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings as required
