Shop Helper - Day Shift

Description At Gerlinger Steel & Supply, we're more than just a steel company - we're a family. With facilities in Redding and Woodland, CA, we're proud to offer a stable, long-term home for the people who choose to join our team. Our Woodland shop runs Monday through Friday, and this full-time shift position offers 40+ hour weeks. You'll be working with saws, shears, press brakes, and plate rolls to prefabricate components for a wide range of jobs - including quality checking and packaging parts. Requirements We'd love to hear from you if you bring:
- A collaborative spirit - you enjoy sharing knowledge and helping teammates succeed
- Solid basic math skills, including working with fractions and decimals
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
- Ability to operate forklifts and overhead lifting equipment
- A genuine commitment to safety - for yourself, your team, and your workspace
- Strong attendance and punctuality
- Fluency in written and spoken English; bilingual candidates are especially welcome
- A high school diploma or equivalent technical training
