OnTrac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management. Pay: $23.51 per hour Shift: Thursday - Sunday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business. Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery. Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks. Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening. Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Basic English language proficiency (spoken and written) required for understanding safety and operational instructions in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities: Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program. Properly pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards. Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor. Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility.
