Toddler Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience – Hell's Kitchen, New York, NY
Pay: $20–$24 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Start: ASAP

The Learning Experience – Hell's Kitchen is hiring a nurturing and experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to create a warm, engaging classroom for our active and curious little learners.

Our Toddler Lead Teachers help children build language, independence, social-emotional skills, and confidence through hands-on learning and consistent daily routines. You'll lead your classroom while working closely with families, fellow teachers, and center leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging toddler classroom
  
  
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities and our L.E.A.P. Curriculum
  
  
• Encourage language development, independence, movement, and social-emotional growth
  
  
• Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and classroom transitions
  
  
• Provide consistent routines and positive behavior guidance
  
  
• Observe children's development and celebrate important milestones
  
  
• Maintain required classroom documentation
  
  
• Build strong, professional relationships with families
  
  
• Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
  
  
• Follow applicable New York City childcare regulations
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education required
  
  
  
• Previous toddler, daycare, preschool, or early childhood teaching experience preferred
  
  
• Lead classroom experience strongly preferred
  
  
• Strong understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate practices
  
  
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented
  
  
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
  
  
• Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
