Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $16.00 USD per hour ALL ABOUT HUMAN RESOURCES Role Overview As a Human Resources Expert at Target, you will support teams and leaders in building a passionate and guest‑centric sales force. Your role involves understanding employment laws, using workforce management software, and ensuring the right mix of talent to deliver excellent in‑store and digital shopping experiences. Responsibilities Greet customers quickly and warmly—base greeting on proximity (10ft: friendly smile or wave; 4ft: greet, smile, and initiate a helpful interaction). Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience. End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you. Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience. Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs for each area of the business. Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates. Support team member and leader training needs and be an advocate for continuous learning. Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices. Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with leaders to take action as needed. Deliver on all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption. Support your leader in following company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team member experience. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible. All other duties based on business needs. Qualifications Enjoy interacting and helping others—including guests and team members. Thrive in a fast‑moving, highly active, physically demanding role requiring teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem‑solving. Open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times). Have a welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members. Communicate effectively on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed. Manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while staying composed and focused. Show attention to detail and follow multi‑step processes accurately. Be able to work independently and as part of a team. Receive and use training effectively to become a competent Human Resources Expert. Essential Physical Requirements Accurately handle cash register operations as needed. Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 44 pounds, without assistance. Work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental conditions (e.g., Drive‑Up or carry‑out duties). Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
