Location: Rome, NY (Hybrid – periodic on-site required)

Salary: $59,500 – $74,500 (based on experience)

The Opportunity

This is a strong opportunity for a Credit Analyst with commercial lending exposure to step into a well-rounded, impactful role. You’ll play a key part in evaluating commercial credit risk, supporting underwriting decisions, and helping manage portfolio performance, while also gaining exposure to systems, analytics, and process improvement initiatives. What You’ll Be Doing

Commercial Credit Analysis

• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and borrower performance
• Identify trends and assess credit risk across commercial relationships
• Prepare clear, well-supported credit recommendations
• Complete annual credit reviews in a timely manner

Underwriting & Risk Support

• Support credit decisions aligned with internal policies and risk tolerance
• Assist with complex or higher-risk credit evaluations
• Provide secondary review and analytical support as needed

Portfolio Analytics & Reporting

• Monitor portfolio health, including risk ratings, concentrations, and exceptions
• Support stress testing and scenario analysis
• Build and maintain reporting tools and dashboards

Systems & Process Improvement

• Work within commercial underwriting and financial spreading tools
• Assist with system enhancements, testing, and workflow improvements
• Help drive consistency and efficiency across credit processes

Compliance & Data Integrity

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of credit and portfolio data
• Support audits, reviews, and regulatory examinations

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Credit, Lending, Risk, and IT teams
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or banking
• Strong understanding of financial statements and cash flow analysis
• Ability to assess risk and make sound, data-driven recommendations
• Experience with credit systems, financial spreading tools, or reporting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment
