Operating Room Nurse

Schedule

This position is a full-time role with a shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There are guaranteed 36 hours per week and no on-call or weekend responsibilities.

Job Description

Operating Room Nurses are integral members of the healthcare team who provide care to patients throughout the surgical process. They ensure that patients are adequately prepared for surgery, monitoring patient status and providing information about the possible outcomes of procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery and provide pre-operative education.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions during surgical procedures.
• Assist with post-anesthesia care and educate patients on recovery.
• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure patient safety.
• Document patient status and information accurately throughout the surgical process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in the Operating Room is required.
• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience is preferred.
• Active nursing license in the state of Oklahoma is required.
