Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Location: Martinsville, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, exhibiting critical thinking and decisive judgment in stressful situations, and providing support to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care to a diverse patient population including post-operative orthopedic procedures.
• Administer medications and manage patient care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain patient documentation using Meditech EHR.
• Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in Virginia.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Completing additional certifications as needed.
