Retail Sales Associate

Job Description

The Retail Sales Associate plays a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience by assisting customers, processing sales transactions efficiently, and maintaining smooth store operations. This position involves working closely with POS systems to ensure accurate cash handling and inventory management while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service to meet individual needs
Handle cash transactions accurately and securely
Process sales transactions using common retail POS software
Assist customers with product selection and inquiries
Operate the Point of Sale system efficiently
General Stocking responsibilities from products sold
General cleaning responsibilities (closing shift duties)
General cleaning (dusting bottles/shelves, general store cleanliness)
Lifting up to 40lbs (occasional)
Standing/walking/bending up and down for 4-8 hour shifts

Preferred Qualifications

Retail experience encouraged but not required
High school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems (encouraged but not required)
Strong cash handling skills
Effective customer service and communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
