Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist (PRN) Status: PRN, As Needed Pay: $20.67/hour Location: Cedar City Hospital, Cedar City, Utah Overview Cedar City Hospital seeks a PRN Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist to support imaging services on an as‑needed basis. The role is ideal for a detail‑oriented technologist committed to delivering high‑quality patient care, ensuring safety, and maintaining strong collaboration with the care team. Essential Functions Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares patients for examinations Demonstrates sensitivity to patient needs throughout procedures Explains procedures clearly to patients and families to promote cooperation and reduce anxiety Addresses patient questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner Performs radiologic exams that produce high‑quality images while maintaining patient and staff safety Follows established protocols, ensures proper patient positioning, and utilizes equipment effectively Adheres to radiation safety standards and guidelines Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds quickly and appropriately Completes all required documentation accurately, including time stamps and image storage Coordinates patient care and communicates relevant information to other care team members Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment Ensures supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored Participates in ongoing education and professional development, including new procedures and equipment Skills Anatomy knowledge Image evaluation Equipment operation Contrast protocols Emergency response Ability to work independently Team collaboration Effective communication Electronic imaging systems Task prioritization Clean and organized work practices Minimum Qualifications Current licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist / Limited Scope Operator in the state of practice OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Board Registry Eligible per state requirements Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare provider Required competency in at least one area: Chest, Extremities, Spine, Skull, Podiatry, Bone Densitometry (DEXA) Why Join Cedar City Hospital Cedar City Hospital offers a collaborative environment where caregivers are supported in delivering exceptional patient care. Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring verbal communication and rapid auditory comprehension, especially during emergencies. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision, including frequent computer use and typing for documentation. May be required to lift and transfer patients and supplies, often bending to retrieve, lifting, and carrying items of varying weights, including heavy items. May be expected to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and distributing supplies, including pushing or pulling gurneys and portable equipment.
