Job Summary
The Workforce & Education Coordinator plays an essential, hands-on role in bringing the region's workforce and education initiatives to life. This position focuses heavily on the direct implementation of grant-funded programs, maintaining daily multi-channel communications with educational and industry partners, and managing the end-to-end logistics of workshops, career guidance initiatives, and regional events.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Program Implementation & Event Logistics
- End-to-End Program Execution: Drive the step-by-step rollout of grant-funded career preparation and work-based learning programs across regional school districts.
- Workshop & Event Operations: Manage all operational and on-site details for professional development workshops, student career showcases, and partner meetings—including venue setup, run-of-show logistics, registration, and participant coordination.
- Resource Distribution: Oversee the scheduling, delivery, and active deployment of classroom resources, workshop materials, and career decision-making toolkits to local schools and guidance teams.
Stakeholder Engagement & Program Communication
- Partner Outreach & Communication: Serve as a clear, proactive contact for school district staff, career specialists, work-based learning coordinators, and industry partners.
- Information Delivery: Draft and distribute routine program updates, event invitations, logistical briefings, and instructional materials to keep all participating stakeholders aligned and informed.
- Relationship Coordination: Maintain positive, reliable working relationships across area schools, colleges, and regional employer partners through consistent follow-up and responsive support.
Grant Tracking & Program Data
- Data Collection & Entry: Gather and maintain detailed records of program participation, event attendance, and work-based learning outcomes.
- Compliance Tracking: Input and monitor project data in designated systems to support state-level reporting and grant accountability standards.
- Feedback & Evaluation Support: Coordinate the distribution and collection of program evaluation surveys from participants and educators to measure initiative effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience coordinating program implementation, event logistics, or multi-stakeholder project communications.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with K-12 education processes, career guidance concepts, or work-based learning structures is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable utilizing virtual communication platforms and database tools.
Core Competencies
- Clear & Engaging Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messages clearly for educators, students, and corporate partners.
- Detail-Oriented Operations: Superior organizational skills with a strong focus on task follow-through, timeline management, and logistical accuracy.
- Implementation Mindset: A practical self-starter who takes strategic directions and creates actionable plans, checklists, and smooth operational workflows.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Ability to troubleshoot operational issues on the fly and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative Spirit: A team player dedicated to fostering strong community partnerships and supporting regional workforce goals.
