Sr. Attorney-Public Entity Defense

Sr. Attorney - Public Entity Defense $150,000 - $240,000 per year | Irvine, CA | On-Site | Permanent Overview A top firm within the Public Entity Defense space seeks a Sr. Attorney to provide high-quality legal advice and representation to public entities, including municipalities and government agencies. This full-time, permanent position offers opportunities for professional development and a competitive salary and benefits package. Responsibilities Provide expert legal counsel to public entities, including municipalities and government agencies. Represent clients in litigation and other legal proceedings involving land use, labor and employment, and other areas of municipal law. Develop and implement comprehensive legal strategies to protect the interests of clients. Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on case progress. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure high-quality service delivery. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Minimum of 5 years of experience in public entity defense focusing on municipal law, government, land use, labor, and employment. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. Proven experience representing clients in litigation and other legal proceedings. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to public entities. Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also a strong team player. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
