Job Summary

The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the healthcare framework, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. This role emphasizes ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN ensures safety in their practice, embraces evidence-based principles, and is committed to enhancing their own knowledge and that of the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization. Responsibilities include reporting safety concerns, understanding the patient demographic, supervising task delegation, and collaborating with other healthcare providers. The RN is also tasked with setting and assessing priorities to achieve measurable improvements in patient care.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Monmouth Medical Center.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficient in computer skills

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
• Valid New Jersey State Driver’s License

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Clinical experience from an NLN accredited program
• Eligibility for Screening Certification
• National Certification

Scheduling Requirements

• Night Shift, 36 hours per week

Essential Functions

• The RN ensures safety in practice and incorporates evidence-based principles, taking responsibility for their own knowledge and that of the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization.
• Responsible for reporting safety issues, including hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Knowledgeable about the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs task delegation among team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable improvements.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and tailors the care plan to meet specific patient needs.
