ABOUT THE ROLE

The Terminal Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Fort Collins Terminal, including rail and truck unloading, cement storage, distribution, inventory management, maintenance, and overall terminal performance.

The Terminal Manager is also responsible for optimizing terminal performance, managing costs and budgets, developing employees, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring the terminal is positioned to meet current and future customer and business needs.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Lead all terminal activities with a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, environmental compliance, quality, and customer service.

  • Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently in accordance with Amrize policies, established operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Promote a strong safety culture by actively reinforcing safe work practices, identifying and addressing hazards, and holding employees and contractors accountable for safety expectations.

  • Lead, coach, train, develop, and evaluate terminal employees to build capability, improve performance, and support employee development.

  • Establish and manage employee development and training plans for terminal operators.

  • Manage contractor activities and ensure compliance with contractor control requirements and site expectations.

  • Develop and manage the terminal operating budget in alignment with cost, volume, maintenance, and business expectations.

  • Oversee the receiving and unloading of railcars and trucks, cement storage, inventory management, and loading of customer trucks.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure required daily inventory and operational information is communicated to Sales, Logistics, and other appropriate business partners.

  • Monitor inventory levels, anticipate potential product shortages or operational disruptions, and develop appropriate contingency plans.

  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive and periodic maintenance programs for terminal equipment and facilities.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure equipment issues are identified, prioritized, and addressed to support safe and reliable operations.

  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with terminal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Coordinate closely with Logistics, Sales, Operations, Maintenance, customers, carriers, and other internal and external partners to support efficient terminal operations.

  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance management, and, when necessary, corrective action of terminal employees.

  • Identify opportunities to improve terminal efficiency, equipment reliability, cost performance, housekeeping, and overall operational effectiveness.

  • Complete special assignments, projects, and other responsibilities as directed by Logistics leadership.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to Amrize health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and consistently model these behaviors.
