About the Position

Job Title: Dialysis Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year Dialysis experience License: Pending License Accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Epic experience preferred Description: Crisis role with an urgent need. Extensive dialysis experience required. Shifts are four 10-hour day shifts. Patient ratios are 1:2 during the day and 1:1 at night. Call is required from 18:30 to 08:00 on Sundays. Weekend coverage is also required. Travelers are welcome and first-time travelers are accepted. Clinicians will float within their scope to meet facility needs. Charge RN role may be assigned which includes holiday rotation. Candidates must have experience with acute care inpatient dialysis and the administration of blood products. Ability to cannulate AV fistulas and grafts is essential. Clinical practices include infection control, management of anticoagulation, and handling various alarms related to dialysis. Candidates will work with adults and geriatric patients. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams including rapid response teams and pharmacy. Additional experience in community hospitals is preferred. Strong preference for candidates with EPIC charting experience, but those without may be considered in difficult-to-fill situations. Other qualifications include the ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, perform therapeutic plasma exchange, and manage peritoneal dialysis. This position requires adherence to required competencies and compliance with safety protocols.
