Assistant Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) work with patients to help them improve their mobility and balance. They may work in home health, rehabilitation, or community care settings.As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide quality patient care. Your role will involve assisting with patient evaluations, implementing treatment plans, and educating patients on home exercise programs.Patient Care:Assist with patient evaluations, including range of motion, strength testing, and gait analysis.Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques.Educate patients on home exercise programs and provide instruction on the proper use of assistive devices.Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising physical therapist.Clinical Skills:Perform basic therapeutic interventions, such as hot and cold packs, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound.Assist with gait training, balance exercises, and strengthening exercises.Fabricate and apply simple splints and braces.Documentation:Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries.Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures regarding documentation and billing.Teamwork:Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.Work effectively as part of a team to provide exceptional patient care.Qualifications:Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, or recent graduateWhy is This a Great Opportunity:Company is invested in helping its employees grow professionallyLeadership/entrepreneurship programs offered and encouraged250 rehab locations throughout eastern and midwest USOption to transfer to another clinic if relocating to another geographical area
