The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Restaurant Manager to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of restaurant.

Responsibilities:

• Leads performance of restaurant by managing the operation, delegating duties and controlling resources
• Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed
• Resolves all guest problems and complaints
• Display professional conduct, sound judgment, the highest level of professional integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Understands hourly positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence or during peak volume periods
• Ensures compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards and procedures by training, supervising, follow-up and hands on management
• Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with colleagues
• Ensures knowledge and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
• Observes physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience
• Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Possess a strong knowledge of liquor, beer and wine
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
• Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing
